During advent the market place is transformed with its many stalls presenting crafts from the region, the Christmas Markets which are part of tradition in most major towns and cities at this time of the year. The Christmas market in Hildeheim is one of the most beautiful and impressive in entire Germany. A place to enjoy a few hours in romantic setting. A place to buy Christmas presents and enjoy the warmth of a Glühwein and the smell and taste of freshly roasted chestnuts.
